Back in 2017, Diabetes Feet Australia (DFA) set a powerful course for reducing avoidable amputations through the Australian DFD Strategy 2018-2022. It’s now time to reflect and move forward with fresh priorities and strategies.

DFA invites podiatrists to review and provide feedback on the draft version of the Australian Foot Health and Disease in Diabetes Strategy 2030: Improving the foot health of people living with diabetes.

This draft public consultation document outlines the key national priorities, goals and recommendations to help guide the nation in improving foot health outcomes for people living with diabetes.

This will help ensure Australia has a current national strategy that reflects international best practice standards, considers contemporary development, and helps position the community to continue to reduce the burden of diabetes foot complications for Australians with diabetes.

DFA has also released a short webinar to help explain the new strategy and consultation, click here to take a look.

How to have your say

This is your chance to influence strategies that matter, from improving access to care and delivering safe, quality services to driving essential research and innovation.
