Podiatry Week

Podiatry Week

Podiatry, more than you think

Come back in October 2025 to access your free Podiatry Week resources!

Podiatry Week is dedicated to raising awareness of the full scope of the podiatry profession and educating the community on the diverse ways podiatrists can support our health.

With the theme ‘Podiatry, more than you think’, APodA is asking people to think again about what they know about this key allied health profession.

As part of Podiatry Week we aim to inspire people to learn more about podiatry and the invaluable services on offer, perhaps book an appointment with a podiatrist, or even consider it as a career path. You’ll be amazed at where podiatry could take you.

Podiatrists are responsible for the diagnosis and management of disorders, injuries and pain affecting the foot, ankle, and lower limbs. Some podiatrists can prescribe medicine as an Endorsed Prescriber.

You will find podiatrists across all areas of the health sector – from private practice, community health services, hospitals, rural and remote outreach clinics, to rehabilitation centres, residential aged care, across the disability sector and working in people’s homes.
