Careers Toolkit

We invite you to inspire the next generation and spark career changes with the diverse opportunities podiatry offers

The Australian Podiatry Association (APodA) in partnership with Australasian Council of Podiatry Deans (ACPD) has developed a Careers Toolkit to help you promote the highly rewarding and diverse career podiatry has to offer.

We are putting a call out to all podiatrists to get involved by speaking at high schools, attending university open days and other events to help educate people on the wide scope of practice podiatrists have and their ability to make a real impact.

How you can go about this:

Send an email or call the local high school in your area and ask to speak to the careers advisor. You can ask if they have students interested in health and see if you can organise to visit the school and present and/or share materials with them.
Reach out to the university you attended or one near you and ask them if they have any upcoming open days or careers events where you could come and talk to students and/or set up a booth.

Together, we can raise the profile of podiatry and also build a strong workforce to ensure all Australians are able to access a podiatrist and know about the multiple ways they can support their health.
