STRIDE Magazine Editorial Contract & Deadlines

We are thrilled that you have agreed to a content partnership with STRIDE Magazine, the monthly member magazine for the Australian Podiatry Association.

This digital magazine will be released to members on / around the first Monday of every month.

In total, 10 issues of STRIDE Magazine are produced each year between March to December.

There are no themes for STRIDE Magazine throughout 2024.

  • As a Monthly or Quarterly Contributor...you have agreed to write either monthly or quarterly content of between 300 to 500 words on behalf of yourself as an individual practitioner and/or your entity.
  • As a Section Editor...you have agreed to curate and / or write original content each month of between 800 to 1200 words that relate to the section you have been assigned - e.g. sports, aged care and so forth. This may appear as one long 1200 word article or three shorter articles that total 800 words – or any combination in between in any given month. As Section Editor, you can also commission original article content to appear in your section as an independently managed process that reflects the content requirements outlined further below.

As a one-off contributor, you have agreed to submit an article according to a specific brief.

Editorial process

The editorial process is always as follows.

  1. Closely read this 2-page document outlining our specific editorial requirements. If you have agreed to submit articles, we do expect deadlines to be honoured to not affect our membership publication schedule.
  2. Submit your article/s by the deadlines linked here along with:
    1. a high-res headshot (over 1MB in size)
    2. a 30 word bio
    3. any public facing social media handles
  3. The Editor of STRIDE Magazine will edit the article / section to reflect STRIDE’s editorial style. Here is our Style Guide if you wish to see it.
  4. This version will be emailed to you as a document for your review and sign-off.
