Member Insurance Update

This year we are excited to share a new way to renew, purchase and manage your APodA Member Insurance — via the NEW BMS Portal.

You will now be able to manage your insurance directly with BMS, the APodA insurance broker. The portal gives you direct access to download your important insurance documents, lodge claims or purchase other insurance products.

How to purchase or renew your insurance

Once you have signed up for or renewed your APodA membership you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the BMS Portal along with the information you will need to complete the process.

If you are currently insured through the APodA Member Insurance Program you will need to renew your insurance directly with BMS before it expires on 30 June 2024 via the BMS Portal.

Current policy holders please note that your current Professional Indemnity and Public & Products Liability insurance will not automatically renew. To ensure you have continuous insurance cover, it is important that you renew your insurance before it expires on 30 June 2024. If your cover lapses you won’t be covered for any previous activities and won't be able to lodge a claim in the future. This applies to any potential claim you may not know about or anticipate.

BMS will provide you with your new insurance documents including your Certificate of Currency and Policy Wording once you’ve renewed your cover.

Agree & Continue

You must be a current Australian Podiatry Association (APodA) member to be eligible for the APodA Member Insurance Program. If your membership ceases you will not be offered renewal when your policy expires. In arranging this insurance for our members, APodA is acting as a distributor of BMS Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (BMS) AFSL 461594, ABN 45161187980. The insurance is issued by BMS under binder with Certain Underwriters at Lloyds. When acting under a binder BMS acts as agent for the insurer and not as your agent. This is general advice only and BMS has not considered whether it was suitable for your particular objectives, needs or financial situation. Please read the Policy Wording and BMS Terms of Engagement which contains the Financial Services Guide before making any decision about purchasing this policy.
