APodA Hosts | Webinar - Pedorthic Footwear Modifications

Angus Brewin

Angus Brewin graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney in 2007 followed by a Bachelor of Podiatry at the University of Newcastle in 2010. He has recently completed a bachelor of Pedorthics at Southern Cross University and has now been certified by the Pedorthc Ascosition Of Australia as a Custom Maker of Footwear (CPed CM AU). Pedorthics is the field of custom made footwear designed for specific complex medical problems such as Charcot Neuroarthropathy, severe foot deformity and neurological disorders.

Angus has worked with the Sydney Local Health District where he enjoyed working at the Aboriginal Health Service in Redfern and establishing an Orthopaedic clinic at Concord General Repatriation Hospital working with Rheumatology and Orthopaedic outpatients and alongside Pedorthists in the High Risk Foot setting.

Angus worked for the University of Newcastle for several years, teaching the students the principles of orthotic manufacture. Angus describes himself as a general podiatrist and likes to keep proficient in all aspects of podiatry. He has a keen interest in the manufacture of accommodative orthotics for use with people with Diabetes. He currently manufactures orthotics for the High Risk Foot Clinic in North Shore Hospital as well as for patients at his family owned practice Erina Podiatry in NSW. Learning from his father Gary Brewin, Angus has over a decade of experience with the modification of footwear for medical needs. Angus has now established a new business - Coastal Orthotics and Pedorthics, aimed at providing custom made and modified footwear solutions to the local podiatry community.

  • By registering for an event with the APodA you will receive APodA correspondence and updates. You can choose to opt-out by unsubscribing.
  • All CPD fees must be paid in advance.
  • All cancellations must be received in writing.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event - 50% of costs paid are refundable.
  • Any CPD refunds given will be provided via the payment method (i.e. if you paid using Credit Card a refund will be processed via the same credit card).
  • Cancellations made less than seven (7) days prior to the event - no refund is available.
  • Participants are considered a “no-show” when they fail to show up to the CPD event they have registered for.
  • When registered participants become a “no-show” they take responsibility for the payment of their event cost and will note their registration cost has been paid for in advance by the APodA. If a participant is a “no-show” they will be responsible for paying 100% of the event cost and will not be eligible for a refund. If the event cost has not yet been paid they will be responsible for paying 100% of their event cost.
  • The APodA reserve the right to cancel or change the time or date of the event or change its venue, content and the speakers at any time at our discretion.
  • If the APodA exercises that right of cancellation we will refund 100% of any fees which attendees have paid in advance.
  • Credit card payments paid in advance will be refunded less the merchant fee of 1.5%.
