Melbourne | Sacred Heart Mission St Kilda

We are looking for an experienced volunteer podiatrist to provide individual treatment to SHM clients who are referred through the Wellness Place.

As you will be working with clients you should have an understanding of the issues involved in poverty and homelessness and the capacity to work respectfully with a diverse range of clients, the ability to work with minimal supervision and to maintain clear boundaries with clients and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a friendly, non-judgmental approach to their work.

Prior volunteer experience and experience providing podiatry treatment to people experiencing homelessness and/or disadvantage is desirable.

The Wellness Place is a part of Sacred Heart Mission in St. Kilda, Melbourne. Sacred Heart Mission provides a range of services to people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage. The Wellness Place programs offer supportive therapies and stepping stones to the community for people who experience challenges with access to health services and wellbeing opportunities. We work to address in small ways, the impacts of trauma, addiction, isolation and chronic ill health through a range of groups, educational programs and complementary and allied health therapies.
