eCourse - APodA Infection Prevention and Control

This self-paced e-Course aims to provide the most current guidance on applying correct infection control processes and systems in your practice.

Upon completing this e-Course, participants will receive a 4-hour Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate, category II.

Presenter: Emma Coombes
Emma is a co-director of Twinkle Toes Podiatry. She began her podiatry career in 2009 as a practice manager with a Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant (Podiatry). Emma went on to study podiatry and graduated in 2019. In 2016 Emma gained accreditation against the Commission’s National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards for her primary workplace and in 2018 achieved accreditation for her secondary workplace. Throughout her 15 years working/managing podiatry clinics, Emma has developed policies and procedures for multiple clinics and continues to draw on her many years of administrative/management experience to apply this to the clinical set-up. Emma is currently completing a certification in Work Health and Safety which she hopes to complete by the end of 2024.

  • To purchase, click on Register myself (scroll to the bottom of the page) submit your details and pay online
  • Once registered you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the e-Course in the learning portal and a password. This registration is unique to you so please do not share it.
  • The video and assessment in the learning portal cannot be downloaded
  • Where access to documents, resources or program material is made available to you as a member of the APodA, or participant of this APodA program, you understand that it is your responsibility to keep the material confidential and only use or disclose it for the purpose for which it was provided, unless the APodA authorises other use or disclosure.

Certificate of Completion

  • An automated certificate of completion will be emailed to you upon the successful completion of all six (6) online assessments. (pass mark is 80% or higher, 2 attempts only)
  • APodA members can upload the CPD certificate to the CPD portal located in the Member Centre to easily track their CPD hours for the year.

CPD Terms & Conditions

  • By registering for an event with the APodA you will receive APodA correspondence and updates. You can choose to opt-out by unsubscribing.
  • All CPD fees must be paid in advance.
  • All cancellations must be received in writing.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event - 50% of costs paid are refundable.
  • Any CPD refunds given will be provided via the payment method (i.e. if you paid using Credit Card a refund will be processed via the same credit card).
  • Cancellations made less than seven (7) days prior to the event - no refund is available.
  • Participants are considered a “no-show” when they fail to show up to the CPD event they have registered for.
  • When registered participants become a “no-show” they take responsibility for the payment of their event cost and will note their registration cost has been paid for in advance by the APodA. If a participant is a “no-show” they will be responsible for paying 100% of the event cost and will not be eligible for a refund. If the event cost has not yet been paid they will be responsible for paying 100% of their event cost.
  • The APodA reserve the right to cancel or change the time or date of the event or change its venue, content and speakers at any time at our discretion.
  • If the APodA exercises that right of cancellation we will refund 100% of any fees which attendees have paid in advance.
  • Credit card payments paid in advance will be refunded less the merchant fee of 1.5%
