Contemporary management of gout

Join us for this 40-minute presentation and 10-minute Q&A session on the topic of 'Contemporary management of gout'.

Much like diabetes, gout is a metabolic disease that has a hereditary genetic predisposition that is precipitated by diet and lifestyle. There is increasing evidence that hyperuricemia plays a pathogenic role in the development of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and kidney disease.

Join Andrew as he dispels the myths on gout and gives you useful guidelines to manage it.

Learning objectives:

  1. Dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding gout
  2. Provide contemporary evidence-based guidelines on managing this common condition
