Are my slippers okay? How does footwear influence balance in older people
Join us for a 40-minute presentation and 10-minute Q&A session webinar as Ameer Nor Azhar discusses topics such as how footwear can influence balance performance in older people, what the current evidence suggests regarding which footwear characteristics are considered beneficial or detrimental for older patients and what the clinically relevant recommendations are from a podiatric lens.

The Presenter:
Ameer Nor Azhar
Ameer is a podiatrist and PhD candidate at La Trobe University. His thesis will aim to develop and evaluate footwear to optimise balance and mobility in older women. Whilst pursuing his post graduate studies, Ameer also works clinically at Fitzroy Foot and Ankle Clinic and is also a casual academic at La Trobe University.
