Sonography and Podiatry e-Course!

This short, self-paced course is perfect for any podiatrist keen to begin using ultrasound or as a refresher for those wanting an update on subjects such as:

  • sourcing the correct equipment;
  • service costs and consumables;
  • scan preparation;
  • probe types and frequencies;
  • referrals; and,
  • legal liabilities.

Case study images and some practice tips to take away are also included in this unique 4 hour course.

Brendan Goode has been a Sonographer/Radiographer for approximately 25 years working in both public and private medical imaging departments. After working for many years training sonographers in a clinical setting Brendan began work as a sonography lecturer at CQUniversity. Brendan’s focus both clinically and academically is musculoskeletal ultrasound with a special interest in the newly emerging field of ultrasound elastography.

Over the last five years Brendan has developed teaching material for both undergraduate sonography students and post graduate allied health professionals in the discipline of musculoskeletal sonography. Brendan especially enjoys working with and learning from other allied health professionals in order to advance the appropriate use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in the community. Brendan holds an Undergraduate Degree in Radiography with a Postgraduate Qualification in Sonography, a Masters in Sonography and is completing a Research Higher Degree in Elastography.

NB: In the Part 3 video, Image Interpretation, the term epimysium was used in error to describe bright white lines in the Achilles tendon. The structure in the image related to muscle and as the presenter was discussing tendons, they should have been referred to as endotendineum septa.
