CONFERENCE STREAM IN FOCUS:
Exercise & Musculoskeletal
We have gathered some of the leading professionals for our stream focused on Exercise and Musculoskeletal issues for the Australian Podiatry Conference, in Brisbane 22-24 June 2023.
APodA would like to thank Sports Exercise Podiatry Australia (SEPA) for sponsoring the Exercise & Musculoskeletal stream for the Conference. Their support is greatly appreciated and will ensure a high-quality program that is informative and engaging.
Join us to hear from internationally renowed Ian Griffiths, Sports Podiatrist at Pure Sports Medicine and Lecturer in Sports & Exercise Medicine at the Queen Mary University of London. Ian will kick off this stream on the first day of the conference, delivering an exciting presentation and workshop on how to consider colour when prescribing foot orthoses.
Colour is often overlooked when prescribing foot orthoses despite being an easily modifiable prescription. Ian will explore the potential value in deeper consideration of orthoses colour and consider how colour psychology may apply to podiatry practice.

Presentation: Dr Max R. Paquette, PhD
On Friday, 22 June, delegates will have the opportunity to explore a sport science and coaching perspective on optimising performance and managing injury risk in runners with Dr Max R. Paquette (PhD).
This interesting session will discuss topics such as the integration of movement, training load and anatomy for improving running performace and reducing injury risk.
