Ovens Valley Podiatry (OVP) was established by myself in 2006.  The main clinic is situated in Myrtleford, just on the edge of the commercial section of town.  It is part of a clinic that is shared with dentists. OVP operates independently within this clinic.  I use one treatment room, a smaller room, and also a reception area.  Sufficient parking is available on the street.

OVP also has a satellite clinic in Bright, a room within the hospital.

The business operates two days per week in Myrtleford, and one day a fortnight in Bright. I have found that I get Pts presenting with a wide variaty of complaints, what I think happens when you are the main podiatrist in a small town, which I have enjoyed the challenge of.  

I have developed good relationships with my referral sources.  A big majority of Pts are seen under Medicare, where the referrals come form medical clinics mainly in Myrtleford and Bright, but some from elsewhere.  Other referrals come from Alpine Health, which operate both in Myrtleford and in Bright.  From them I receive service requests for Pts on packages, which I also get from other agencies.  Some of my Pts are DVA, and others are on NDIS.  And I also see private Pts.  The majority of my consultations are in the clinics, but I also offer home visits, and I see Pts in the hospitals and the age care facilities when needed.

To create good rapport with my Pts has always been important to me, and I find that Pts are loyal.

The lease is coming to an end, and the landlord is approachable for a new owner to continue in this space.  The sale comes with the equipment of both clinics, instruments and consumables.

I am, and always have been, working on my own.  My reason for selling is that I’m getting ready to retire.
