Why do we ask for your consent?

The Australian Podiatry Association is committed to protecting the privacy of all personal data you provide for this conference registration. The following statements describe what we are doing with your data so you are fully informed before submitting your personal information for registration.

How do we use your personal information?

During the registration process you are providing us with personal information (including your email address and mobile number) that is used in two ways.

Administrative functions:

  • To process your registration including payment, session participation, dietary requirements and, where appropriate, accommodation providers.
  • To send you reminders and/or notifications about any sessions you have registered for, changes to the schedule or other administrative matters.
  • Where necessary your information could be used for safety and risk management (eg, contact tracing, evacuation management).

Personalisation functions:

  • To try to make your experience at the event more satisfying and effective.
  • This may include working with sponsors and exhibitors who are involved in delivering information and social events to conference participants.

How long will we store your personal data?

For administrative purposes, your personal data will be retained by us for up to 12 months after the conclusion of this event.

Your rights

  • You retain the right to ask us about your personal data at any time. Please contact us by emailing events@podiatry.org.au with any inquiries you may have.
  • If you have attended the conference, we will retain any financial, tax or attendance records for reporting reasons.
  • In the event that you do not want your information shared with any commercial partners you understand that some services may be restricted or unavailable.
