COVIDSafe Plan
The APodA is committed to the health and safety of our members, delegates, invited guests, exhibitors, volunteers and staff attending APodA events/activities.
The APodA continues to follow the advice provided by the Australian Government and state Health Departments in managing the risks associated with COVID-19. The health and safety of our members, delegates, invited guests, volunteers and staff is our top priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare when attending APodA events/activities.
This is how we will manage the potential risks associated with COVID-19:
- All attendees, including invited guests, exhibitors, volunteers and staff are required to be doubled vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend an APodA in-person event. Evidence of your vaccination status must be provided on entry.
- We require attendees at APodA events to wear a mask indoors if it's a mandatory requirement determined by the State Health Department at the time of the event.
- If you are feeling unwell or have had direct contact with a person who has been confirmed to have COVID-19 recently, we ask that you DO NOT attend the event and get a PCR/Rapid Antigen Test to check your status.
- We encourage all attendees at APodA events to undertake vigilant hygiene practices and wash and/or sanitise their hands regularly. Hand sanitiser will be available on-site at our events for use.
- The APodA complies with density limits determined by the size of the venue which allows for adequate physical distancing determined by the State Health Department at the time of the scheduled event. We may limit registrations to our events in order to meet those density limits.
- We expect APodA event attendees, invited guests, exhibitors, volunteers and staff to comply with any requirements stipulated by the venue management/staff that reduces the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
- The APodA events team will continue to monitor advice from State Health Departments and notify any updates to attendees of APodA events.
Covid-19 Vaccinations
For your safety and that of our community, all APodA staff attending in-person events are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. It is also a requirement that all in-person presenters, exhibitors and registrants are fully vaccinated with a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine in order to attend a face to face event. Proof of COVID vaccination or medical exemption will be required when checking in to the event.
Cancellation of registration due to COVID conditions
The APodA will offer a refund of the registration fee only if the reason for cancellation is due to COVID related government-imposed border closures, lockdowns and quarantining requirements that are in place at the time of the cancellation, or the attendee tests positive for COVID.
The APodA will not reimburse any travel/accommodation related expenses incurred by registrants who intend to/need to travel, regardless of the COVID situation - Please check the terms and conditions of your travel.
NOTE: The standard APodA cancellation terms apply to registration cancellations due to a reason relating to an individual’s workplace travel policies. Therefore, it is the responsibility of registrants to be aware of any travel policies or restrictions imposed by their own workplaces and assume responsibility for their registrations accordingly.
